Under sunny skies this past Saturday, August 20, progressives from all over the Hudson Valley and beyond gathered for “Music for Hillary,” a special fundraiser organized by Phyllis Feder of Clinton Vineyards and longtime political organizer and friend Fritzy Goodman.
Distinguished musicians, offering jazz, folk, classical and even tango music, serenaded the appreciative capacity crowd. Performers participating in “Music for Hillary” included Perry Beekman, Lou Pappas, Jaime Laredo and Sharon Robinson, Julie Last, and Sheila Hamilton and Liam Wood.
The musical afternoon programme was complemented by a lavish spread of locally sourced cheese, crudités and charcuterie, as well as Clinton Vineyards wines.
The special guest was veteran politico Allida Black, co-Founder of Ready for Hillary and a delegate to the 2016 Convention, who spoke of working with Hillary for social change since the 1970s.
During the event, Phyllis Feder unveiled the new Presidential Selection label for Clinton Vineyards’ Victory White Seyval Blanc 2015.
All proceeds from the afternoon fundraiser went to supporting Hillary Clinton for President.
